Ariana Grande Finally Speaking out on Ethan Slater Drama?

An Us Weekly source has revealed that fans will hear about Ariana Grande's side on the contentious issue she was involved in last year. The industry source also said that the album is a concept album.

"Ariana thinks these songs will provide a lot of insight for her fans," the insider told the publication. "[It's] her side of the story regarding Dalton [Gomez] and Ethan [Slater]."

Shortly after separating from Gomez, her husband of two years, Grande got entangled in a web of messy drama when she dated Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who then divorced his wife, Lily James. Rumors and reports ran rampant on social media, with people turning against Grande, labeling her a homewrecker. (via Teen Vogue)

Grande has been mum on the issue, leaving her haters nothing but dust. Now, she is expected to discuss the drama on her upcoming album.

However, fans might have to dive deeper into the songs because they might not be easily identifiable as true stories and as only character-driven stories.

"Ariana is playing with different characters, some of the lyrics come from her personal life, but others are just her playing a fun character for her fans," the source added.

After splitting with Gomez, Grande reportedly moved in with Slater in New York City. He does eight shows a week for the Spamalot revival on Broadway.

Ariana Grande Discusses Controversy, Issues

Speaking to The Zach Sang Show recently, Grande also vaguely and generally discussed the controversy surrounding her.

"I feel like we don't need to go into any specifics, but, of course, there's like an insatiable frustration, inexplicable, hellish feeling with watching people misunderstand the people you love and you and anything," she explained at the time.

In the same interview, Grande noted that when she was writing the album, she had no intention of releasing it to the world, but everything flowed when she continued.

"..When I was done, I remembered that people will hear it and sometimes, people will sensationalize things and assign meaning to certain things. And I wanted to make sure that I combed through, just to make sure that it was what I intended," she added.
