Kanye West -- who now goes by Ye -- is being sued by a former staff member of the Donda Academy, alleging financial mismanagement by West.

Newly surfaced revelations from The U.S. Sun shed light on the sinister aspects of working within West's Yeezy empire.

Explosive Accusations Toward West

On April 2, Trevor Phillips, a former Yeezy and Donda Academy employee, initiated legal action by suing the musician. According to The New York Times, Phillips was initially hired in 2022 to oversee sustainability projects for Yeezy, West's fashion brand; he then went on to work for Donda Academy, West's private school in Southern California.

One essential claim by Phillips is that West misused funds intended for Donda Academy students by diverting them to his travel expenses, and that he neglected to compensate his employees.

During the fall of 2022, Adidas publicly announced the end of its collaboration with West in response to antisemitic remarks made by the rapper on his social media platforms. Official court papers reviewed by the outlet reported frozen Yeezy accounts and allegations that neither Phillips nor the rest of the Yeezy team received their payments.

Phillips' formal complaint suggested that the frozen accounts resulted from Adidas withdrawing their support, but he asserted that Kanye's financial troubles extended beyond this issue.

According to court documents seen by the outlet, "Upon his return, Kanye gloated to Donda and Yeezy staff, admitting that he mismanaged the schools' money."

It went on to say, "Specifically, he told Phillips and other staff that he spent $2 million of the school budget on his trip to Paris."

"Phillips could not help but wonder if that money included the school children's tuition."

Never-Ending Lawsuits

Headlines recently emerged about Phillips' unexpected legal action against the "All of the Lights" rapper and his Donda Academy. Situated in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, Donda Academy caters to students from pre-K to 12th grade.

The legal records disclosed that Phillips' responsibilities gradually expanded to support the school, which faced challenges amid West's controversial statements.

It was reported that the rapper shared his antisemitic views with those at the academy and among students, as claimed by the former staff.

On a particular occasion, West supposedly made offensive remarks in the presence of two students, further threatening to shave their heads and confine them in cages.

Phillips' lawsuit against Kanye alleges harassment, discrimination, a hostile work environment, and various other grievances.
