On Instagram, Tems shared a visualizer for her debut album, which shows scenes from presumably her home in Nigeria, including children running around the beach and scenes from her childhood.

"It's all over the news, all over the news, I notice/ Under the sun, struggling to find my focus/ When I was young, younger than my mind as always/Runnin' away," Tems sang before singing into the chorus. She captioned the clip, "BORN IN THE WILD. The Album. May 2024."

She has since released two singles since last year - "Me & U" and "Not an Angel." As of this writing, it is unknown whether the two singles would be included as album tracks.

"This Tems album fit go big like SZA SOS album," a fan declared on Twitter/X.

"Album will be released and it's going to be played on all streaming platforms. Tems and conditions applied," one joked.

"Better late than never. U have starved us for too long. I hope it bangs," another commented.

"Your voice is like melting butter so warm and smooth," a fan shared.

Tems Awards, Recognitions

Tems received the 2024 Breakthrough Award from Billboard Women in Music, among many other recognitions.

"I really want to use this opportunity to say to all the women in the room, in the world, that no matter what you're going through, you should know you're not alone. So even when you're sad, even when you're angry, there's someone that's angry, too. So uplift everybody around you because they need that like you and somebody's there for you, It's the women that got the women, trust me," she said in her Billboard speech.

Tems' vocals on "Higher" were sampled by Future in "Wait For U," which then became a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, making her the first African artist to debut at No. on the Hot 100 and second Nigerian artist to the top the chart.

The song also earned Tems a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance. She then co-wrote Rihanna's "Lift Me Up," which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, a Hollywood Music in Media Award, and a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

She has also received four NAACP Image Awards, three BET Awards, and three Soul Train Music Awards, all for her music.
