The heyday of disco wasn't all that long ago when divas like Donna Summer and Vicki Sue would take the stage with their soulful voices. But one name, Sylvester, stands among the rest and is now honored in a new musical Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical.

It's the brainchild of Anthony Wayne (Pippin) who also wrote the book, directs with Kendrall Bowman and who will don the title role at the Theater at St. Clement.

As it with most musicals on the stage nowadays, the narrative interweaves Sylvester's life, touching upon his major chart toppers like "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)," "Do Ya Wanna Funk," and "Dance (Disco Heat)" according to The New York Times.

As an added bonus, too, the show will feature Anastacia McCleskey and Jacqueline B. Arnold as the Weather Girls.
