Chiddy Bang apparently got the people a bit too turnt at a recent South Carolina show. In town for Clemson's homecoming concert, rapper Chiddy — who is still using the Bang moniker despite producer Xaphoon Jones's departure last year — whipped the crowd into a frenzy, and a swarm of cops forced him off stage after a woman got hit in the face with a water bottle.

This is all according to TMZ, which notes: "The rapper's hype man attempted to keep the crowd going ... but promoters quickly killed the lights."

The abduction of Chiddy was essentially for his protection, but the dude has not been able to catch a break since the 2012 single "Ray Charles."

This April, the rapper took to Facebook to inform fans that he would be making new music. The lengthy post included the following excerpts, via Casulin:

I'M GONNA KEEP IT 100...WHEN THE HOMIE XAPH DECIDED HE DIDN'T WANNA BE FULL TIME PART OF THIS ANYMORE, IT THREW ME FOR A LOOP. HE'S BEEN MY RIGHT HAND MAN SINCE DAY 1 AND WITHOUT HIM I PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN TO DO HALF THE AMAZING THINGS I'VE BEEN ABLE TO DO WITH THIS MUSIC ISH. STILL, WE HIT THE STUDIO AND KEPT MAKING TUNES...SOME WITH XAPH AND SOME W OTHER PEOPLE. I DROPPED A COUPLE JOINTS I AM REALLY PROUD OF AND IT FELT LIKE WE WERE HITTING A RHYTHM AND WORKING TOWARDS CHIDDY BANG 2.0.

I'M JUST LETTING YOU GUYS IN ON WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON AND EXPLAINING WHY THERE WAS A LULL IN ACTIVITY...AND MAYBE VENTING A LITTLE TOO HA. BUT I'M BACK IN THE RIGHT FRAME OF MIND AND ABOUT GET BACK ON MY GRIND. THERE ARE A BUNCH OF SHOWS COMING UP AND THERE IS PLENTY OF NEW MUSIC ABOUT TO DROP REAL SOON REGARDLESS OF HOW IT HAPPENS.
