As the conversation on police brutality continues, Styles P is the latest hip hop artist to speak out on the subject in a new interview with Vlad TV. The Yonkers, New York-based rapper responded to commentary from Scarface, which reflected that with the recent deaths of Eric Garner, Mike Brown and others killed by police, it feels like as a nation, we are back in the 60s.

Styles chimed in, saying that while he agrees with Scarface, he feels as though the global response has been much greater, and at times more overwhelming, than back during the Civil Rights Movement.

Regarding Scarface's comments, Styles P said, "I think everything goes back around. I think the difference is now that it's a lot of white people. I mean, it was a lot of people on the frontlines back then too from what I think from seeing the videos and things I've seen. I think the difference now is I don't think back then people in Korea were holding up-and different other countries cared about [our lives]. I think it's a little different. I think yeah, the bulls-t is the same or even worse. Cause they doing the same s--- and it's like times have come so far. With a black president and all."

Styles P went on to talk about how he has now felt obliged to teach his son to stay away from police.

"How the f- are you still on your caveman s-? When I say 'caveman s---' I mean no spirit or no soul. Don't wanna care for the next man...Cause as a black man I gotta teach my son to stay the f--- away from police. So, it's hard for me to understand how the next man even has that much evil. Times is definitely f---ed up. But then it's also a lot of people who's standing up in other parts of the world, which I don't think happened that much back in the days. If it did, I just didn't get to see it."
