More than half of Americans over the age of 12 listen to Internet radio, Music Times recently reported. But we can bet Radionomy is one like you've never heard (get it?) before. As a user, you have more options than ever to expand a listening community around the world. For starters, you can make your own radio station from massive music and content libraries provided by Radionomy. Here's the cool part: you can additionally upload your own music and content. The station creation and management can then be shared between you and people from anywhere. And it may make you money (we'll get to that).

This fits the needs of all different kinds of people involved in music. You can just have a passion for it, or part of your job may be an AM/FM broadcaster, who wants to start streaming music in order to grow and monetize an online audience.

So let's recap what we know so far: stations are made by real people (both "beginners" and pros) and are not just a playlist like you see on Spotify or Pandora.

As a listener, you create a personalized profile. You can bookmark your favorite and then share via social media. There are thousands of stations falling under various genres.

Everything is free to the user. Radionomy takes care of all fees, such as copyrights, storage space and broadcasting. You just need to listen to (you guessed it) ads! If you're not impressed yet here's the kicker:

You can end up accumulating funds for the radio station you create. When your audience hits a designated point, Radionomy will give some of its advertising revenue with you, the station manager.

So far there's over 40 million listening hours a month, but this will no doubt expand as the word gets out about the latest twist on Internet radio.
