Sad news coming out of the reality television world today as it has been confirmed that Ahmad "Real" Givens has lost his long battle with colon cancer. He first rose to fame on VH1's I Love New York beside his brother Kamal "Chance" Givens. The two later had their own dating show, Real Chance for Love, and formed a rap group called The Stallionaires. Ahmad was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer back in 2013 and at the time was given only weeks to live. Not only did he survive, but he thrived until earlier this year.

According to an exclusive report, "Real's brother Chance tells TMZ ... the reality star's condition worsened after he took a fall in January ... he was bedridden ever since. We're told Real was having trouble with vision and speech Friday night during a family visit ... and they had a feeling the end was near. He passed away hours later."

Ahmad had reportedly been doing well until the cancer recently returned. He had posted about being sick from chemotherapy just last month and his mood seemed a bit more somber than it had been. His brother first took to Twitter this morning to confirm that that Ahmad had passed away. Obviously the duo's fans have unleashed an outpouring of support for the family. Ahmad leaves behind a wife and young son.

Ahmad is the second reality star to lose his long battle with cancer this winter. MTV's Diem Brown died back in November after her cancer returned in a much more aggressive way. While both Diem and Ahmad both waged unbelievably curageous battles, it's still sad to know that they're gone.
