Donald Glover may be best known for rapping as Childish Gambino these days, but that doesn't mean he's throwing his acting roots to the wayside. After releasing the Grammy-nominated album Because the Internet in December 2013 and releasing a string of critically-acclaimed singles, he's diving back into the world of acting, including a potentially scandalous role in the upcoming film Magic Mike XXL.

In a new interview with Collider, Glover revealed that he'll be "showing himself" in the upcoming Magic Mike sequel, something that's sure to make his "Gambino Girls" go wild.

"I definitely show myself a little bit. It's a funny thing. I just never really - that energy is, I don't know, getting into it is cool, to just dive into something like that. I've never been in that world. It's very few people who have ever been a convention center filled with 900 women screaming. That's a feeling that I feel like very few people know. It was crazy," he said. "I met so many people. There was a girl there, I was having a scene with her, just talking, and everybody was just so interesting, but supportive. It's hard to be that supportive when you're in that room for that long, screaming."

Glover isn't just working on Magic Mike XXL - he has a slew of other acting projects on the horizon. This month, he'll appear in the new horror film The Lazarus Effect, and he's also set to appear in the sci-fi film The Martian. Glover will also be creating a pilot for an FX sitcom Atlanta.

Despite a newly refound focus on acting, there's one opportunity that Glover has left hanging: a return to the beloved sitcom Community. "I just always want to make sure it’s good for the – you never want to do something just to make people feel good. You always want to make sure it works," he said about potentially bring back Troy Barnes.

And, really, in the end, you can't disappoint a picture...
