Netflix recently acquired a Sofia Coppola directed holiday special, "A Very Murray Christmas," which stars comedian Bill Murray as himself, worried that his show will be ruined by a treacherous snow storm in New York City.

A short teaser trailer was released featuring an antler-wearing Murray, morosely staring out of a Carlyle Hotel window with a soothing jazz tune playing in the background. The special is expected to release on Netflix in December but Murray has already taken to social media to spread awareness by tagging #MurrayChristmas. The special is reffered to as "a homage to the classic variety show," notes NME.

Netflix produces spoilers in their description, letting the world know Murray didn't celebrate alone. "Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit," notes the Netflix plot summary. A star-studded cast finds their way onto the variety show including George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Phoenix, Michael Cera, Maya Rudolph, Rashida Jones, David Johansen, Frederic Moulin, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov and more, reports Rolling Stone.

Having previously worked together during Lost in Translation, the special was co-written by Coppola, Murray alongside Mitch Glazer of TVs Magic City. Glazer, Coppola, Roman Coppola and Tony Hernandez will executive produce. Coppola's husband, Thomas Mars of Phoenix and his bandmates Laurent Mazzalai and Christian Mazzalai will make appearances in the Murray hosted special.

Murray, along with Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin, Jim Carrey and others, helped David Letterman bid adieu to his long-time roll as Late Show host. In the final Top 10 list, "Things I've Always Wanted to Say to Dave," Murray read the number one entry of "I'll never have the money I owe you."
