As GossipCop reports, no arrest warrant has been issued for rapper Fetty Wap due to death threats he made against his baby mama, Lezhae Zeona. According to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office of New Jersey, this is simply a rumor, and no such warrant has been issued.
The rumor was promulgated by certain blogs, including MediaTakeOut and Hollywood Life, that say, "Fetty Wap may be in trouble with the police - again. The authorities allegedly put out an arrest warrant for the 'Trap Queen' singer, according to a new report, because Fetty allegedly threatened to 'f*ck up' and shoot the mother of his daughter during a violent shouting match!"
However, as it turns out, these reports are entirely false. The blogs asserted that the altercation ensued after Lezhae's interview with Gems radio, in which she criticized the popular "Trap Queen" artist. According to these blogs, this prompted Fetty to drop by Lezhae's Paterson home and threaten her and their child. This was widely reported, and Fetty Wap was even seen laughing about it later on Instagram. The reports of his arrest warned that Fetty would likely be facing jail time for the threats; a completely unfounded claim.
All we know about the altercation is what we've seen in the videos posted online, and the accounts of those present. One can hear Wap threaten to "shoot up" Zeona, and seemed to be brandishing a knife in the video. However, the footage is unclear, unfocused, and inconclusive.
Wap, in an attempt to explain his behavior, tweeted, "End of the day I ain't see my daughter In a month so yea I was upset." However, many are still upset with the popular artist who, just months ago, was eliciting massive sympathy over his near-fatal motorcycle accident.
