A few weeks ago, Leftöver Crack announced their first new album in 11 years, Constructs of the State. With the announcement, they released the first single, "System F*cked," which features Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy. Today, the seminal crust punk band from NYC's Alphabet City shared another new song, "Bedbugs & Beyond," via Brooklyn Vegan. Listen to "System F*cked" below.

The new album is due out November 27th via Fat Wreck Chords as a part of Record Store Day Black Friday. However, the band is urging fans to either pre-order the release or wait a day to purchase it in observance of Buy Nothing Day.

As Punk News reported, when the album title was first announced this past summer, other guest musicians who joined Leftöver Crack in the studio while recording Constructs of the State included Penny Rimbaud of Crass, Mischief Brew, Bouncing Souls and All Torn Up. "Bedbugs & Beyond" features vocals from Kate Coysh of REIVERS.

The forthcoming release is the band's first full-length studio effort since 2004's controversial album F*ck World Trade. It also marks the band's return from its 11-year hiatus prompted by drummer Brandon Possible's death at the end of 2004. It's not all that surprising that Leftöver Crack has bounced-back after even the death of a member, though. As Noisey points out, since the band got together in 1998, they've been through a lot including lineup changes, drug addictions, venue bans, arrest records, visa restrictions and too many run-ins with the police to count. They remain one of the most resilient punk bands, ever.

While the band itself has endured many changes over the years, the new songs prove that they've remained true to their original self-proclaimed "crack rock" sound and always-blunt, always politically-charged (yet never quite PC) crust punk lyrical ethos. "System F*cked" is a classic late 90s ska-punk tune, whereas "Bedbugs & Beyond" reaches into the more hardcore end of the band's sonic spectrum.
