The Muppets have done rap parodies before, but now they're doing a cover of Eminem's iconic song, "My Name Is," which put his Slim Shady alter-ego on the map in a big way. In the new video, Scooter impersonates Eminem and lip-syncs all of the classic lyrics while Kermit makes an appearance as Dr. Dre.

The parody video bears some similarities to the original as Scooter flashes around the screen in front of a TV in one shot lip-syncing the opening lyrics of "My Name Is." He bounces with Fozzy Bear and is also joined by Kermit during the video. It appears to have been made by pasting together different Muppet scenes into something that can resemble Eminem's original. In a humorous twist, it's impressive just how closely the lip-syncing matches the song itself.

According to Billboard, the Muppets have also done renditions of N.W.A's "Express Yourself," ODB's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" and Naughty By Nature's "Hip Hip Hooray" in the past. The rap parody was made by user Isthishowyougoviral, who has created many parodies using Muppets characters.

The Muppets also did a cover of Adele's "Hello" for the 2015 AMAs as a promo for the television show. In the clip, Miss Piggy is dressed similarly to Adele and parodies key shots from the recently released music video off her new album, 25.

She calls her lost love Kermit on the telephone and in one scene the leaves that swish by Adele in the official music video smack Miss Piggy in the face as she chokes on them. The wind also scatters mundane household items around as The Muppets air date flashes across the screen.

It remains to be seen what exactly the connection is between Muppets and music videos, but virally, the combination has been very successful.
