Ronda Rousey was invincible. Not only hadn't she lost a fight in the entirety of her UFC career, but many of her bouts were finished in under a minute! Needless to say, she became a bit of phenomenon. More popular than any of her UFC counterparts, Rousey went on to appear in films including Entourage, on talk shows, magazine covers and the like to promote the inexorably growing sport. It's safe to say Rousey was Women's UFC's golden goose. However, that all changed when Holy Holm knocked her out in the second round of UFC 193 with a head kick. Ever since her devastating loss, Rousey has been reluctant to talk to the press. However, Rousey has decided to participate in a interview that discusses her feelings after this crushing loss.

Rousey told ESPN, "I'm just really f***ing sad." This is somewhat understandable given the degree of Rousey's defeat. Further, the UFC fighter is still badly injured from the kick. She has unstable teeth and says, "It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact." Thus, a rematch between the two in recent months seems like a pipe dream.

That doesn't mean Ronda has lost her drive. "I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to f***ing do it."

Speaking on where she thinks she went wrong, Rousey said, "I wasn't thinking clearly. I had that huge cut in my mouth and I just spit [the blood] out at my feet. Then they brought the bucket over and I'm like, 'Why didn't I spit it in the bucket?' I never spit on the ground. It was like a dumbed-down dreamy version of yourself making decisions. ... I was just trying to shake myself out of it. I kept saying to myself, 'You're OK, keep fighting. You're OK, keep fighting.'"
