Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Max Vangeli has launched his own imprint in coordination with Armin van Buuren's Armada Records titled NoFace Records. The inaugural song on the imprint logically comes from the label don himself, collaborating with singers Francis Marvel and Kacie Marie on "Shine."
The new single, released today, utilizes the vocal talents of both singers equally well to add a classic and organic feel to this warm, progressive tune. The tune kicks off with Marvel ushering the song with his own vocals as Vangeli slowly builds the energy with rock-influenced drums and vocal chops. The tune crescendos into a euphoric mix of pianos and female vocals from Marie.
"Having my own imprint was always a dream of mine and I think the time is right. With NoFace I really want to step out of my comfort zone in order to deliver a fresh sound that will surprise and please my fans. Together, we will create something truly magical in order to withstand the test of time," said Max in a statement.
The imprint will release new music from up-and-coming artists and more established names alike.
Vangeli has long been attached to Steve Angello's Size Records, releasing a collaborative album People of the Night with his close friend AN21 on the label in 2012. This move is a way to establish his own empire much like fellow Size signee Third Party have done with their own Armada imprint Release Records.
