The world is finally getting a little insight into the Miley Cyrus/Liam Hemsworth break up from last year, thanks to a leaked Bangerz demo. Over the weekend, Cyrus' scrapped single "Last Goodbye" found its way online, and the lyrics don't leave a lot of room for speculation.

Opening much like a Katy Perry track with a swirling of electro beats and a big ol' shout of "Goodbye!" Cyrus is markedly open on the track.

"We never said that we would be perfect, we only said that we would try / And when you said we were forever, I guess that was just another lie / Letting me slip right through your fingers / I hope you know it's real this time / Know that I said I'd never come home for a last goodbye," she sings in the opening bars, with a marked sense of both power and pain.

Sonically, the production values, tempo and vocals lend themselves well to fitting right on Cyrus' Bangerz, which despite its title focused largely on power ballads (with a few party anthems sprinkled in). The track was inevitably cut, though, for reasons unknown.

The open lyrical content, however, seems like a likely factor. "Last Goodbye" is musically more solid than, say, "Love, Money, Party" or even the similar break up ballad "Drive," but then Cyrus, ever aware of her image and press, likely knew what critics would focus on with such an honest song.

But, now it has arrived. Listen to "Last Goodbye" below:

"Last Goodbye" is a scrapped track from Miley Cyrus' most recent album, Bangerz, which dropped in October 2013. Hemsworth and Cyrus called off their engagement in September, after four years together.
