The New Pornographers have announced their return with their first album in four years, due out this summer. Entitled Brill Bruisers, the 13-track effort follows up 2010's Together.

According to Consequence of Sound, the record was recorded at Little Blue in Woodstock, New York and at JC/DC Studios in Vancouver, BC as well as in Austin, Brooklyn, and Vermont.

The lineup for the record includes A.C. Newman, Neko Case, Dan Bejar, Blaine Thurier, John Collins, Kathryn Calder, Kurt Dahle, and Todd Fancey.

In a statement about the upcoming release, Newman said, "This is a celebration record. After periods of difficulty, I am at a place where nothing in my life is dragging me down and the music reflects that."
