Just in case you didn't think Beyoncé was in charge, allow Forbes to set you straight. The magazine ranked the pop star at the top of its annual Celebrity 100 list. The publication takes earnings, number of mentions in media and mentions on social media into consideration when it runs the algorithm. Those factors added up to Beyoncé rocking the last year.

The performer brought in an estimated $115 million during the last year-earning nearly $2.4 million a show for her tour, plus commercial agreements with H&M and Pepsi. Her media impact, social and news, undoubtedly got a huge lift as the result of her surprise album drop last November. Twitter was flooded with posts when word got out that iTunes featured a previously unannounced album.

She's also a member of the world's most literal and legitimate "power couple" when you consider that husband Jay Z comes in at no. 6 overall on the list. His income from the last year is only about half of his wife's, but that's still $60 million. You can live on that.

Dr. Dre was actually the second highest ranked musician on the list, and much of that has to be based on the recent sale of his Beats Electronics company to Apple. He was certainly the highest paid individual on the year, bringing in an estimated $620 million. If he were to drop his long-awaited next solo album Beyoncé-style then he might skyrocket to no. 1. But then again, Apple might not appreciate his typical album fare, so he'll stick with the money for now.

Other musical acts that pop up in the Top 10 include Rihanna and Katy Perry, who come in at nos. 8 and 9, respectively.

The non-musicians in the top 10 were LeBron James (no. 2), Oprah Winfrey (no. 4), Ellen DeGeneres (no. 5), Floyd Mayweather (no. 7) and Robert Downey Jr. (no. 10).
