During a video interview with Bijou Star at Hot 107.5 fm in Detroit, rapper T.I. addressed rumors suggesting that he is a ghostwriter for rapper Iggy Azalea. According to T.I., these rumors are absolutely false.

"I mean, I ain't no ghostwriter," he claims. "Iggy got her own ideas and thoughts that she presents to the world her own way. I couldn't write a lot of the s--t she say, you know? I couldn't put her thoughts into words as articulate as she does. You know what I'm saying? She just has a different way of present herself and her art."

These rumors can be traced back to Azalea's debut EP Glory, which was released on T.I.'s label Grand Hustle Records back in 2012. Though the "Fancy" rapper has since signed to Island Records for the release of her debut album The New Classic, rumors still persist that T.I. helps Azalea write her raps in the studio. Nicki Minaj even hinted at the issue at this year's B.E.T. Awards, saying in her acceptance speech for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, "When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."

Though T.I. denies that he has any involvement in Azalea's lyrics, he does offer some insight into the creative atmosphere of a hip-hop studio session, saying, "So, I mean - now don't get me wrong, everybody in the studio helps with hooks and certain things like that. That goes for me and any of the other top five rappers, performers; you want the best ideas."
