As the release date of Charli XCX's upcoming album is fast approaching, the English singer continues to excite her fans with new music as she recently released a remixed version of her Rina Sawayama-featured song, but this time, she teamed up with a famous artist; who could this be?

According to The Fader, the "New Shapes" hitmaker has released a remixed version of her track "Beg For You" arranged and produced by A.G. Cook.

Aside from her and Sawayama's powerhouse vocals, the second verse was filled in with SEVENTEEN's Vernon's voice to match the track's hyper pop beats. (listen to the collaboration below)

Per the outlet, Vernon got the spot on the song after he expressed his love for Charli XCX online.

Following its release, many fans expressed their feelings online, with one fan labeling it as an iconic collaboration, writing, "i believe this is the much awaited collab of the century."

"It's not even a minute long and I can already tell how this is gonna be everyone's favorite song!! Wow," another fan wrote.

"it's everything we thought it would be and more," one tweeted.

Why Does 'Beg For You' Sounds Familiar?

In early reports, some listeners of the original track have been wondering why the song sounds heavily familiar.

According to Nylon Magazine, the track is "nostalgia done right" as Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama were able to combine an early 2000s track and their own take on music.

The two pop stars sampled a 2008 dance floor song titled "Cry For You" by September.

A.G. Cook, the song's producer, almost replicated the same beats, melody, and hook in their own way.

The original song by September was a massive hit to fans as it topped charts in Europe for 17 non-consecutive weeks.

Petra Marklund, the singer behind the song, also amassed American listeners as it dominated the United States at the time.
