Watching the music video for "Biddi Bum" by Nicole Arbour, the first single for the Canadian-born rock/rapper, it hit me: I've seen this girl before.

Not just in her controversial viral comedy videos like 1.5 billion other people have. I saw her performing live about 4 years ago. She was standing on the bar at a packed Sur in West Hollywood dressed like some Disney Princess on Halloween surrounded by a wolf-like pack of rappers hyping her up. Out of nowhere, she jumped on the track and freestyled her a** off. The crowd exploded. She wasn't "funny rapping"; she was just spittin' fire. When we asked why she isn't in music full time, she gave that Nicole Arbour wink and said, "I will be." And here she comes.

"Biddi Bum" is a solid first jab, perfect for extreme sports soundtracks, first-person shooter games, or action movies. A gritty bop of a track that's got earworm qualities and lines that make you laugh out loud like: "I got a bigger di*k than you and I don't even got one." It gives you all the throwback vibes of the early 2000s without feeling like an imitation of the era. But after seeing Nicole live, I'm more hyped to know this is the tip of the iceberg and we're about to get something the music industry has genuinely never seen.

Imagine: Nicole is witty enough to be a professional comedian, was an NBA cheerleader for the Raptors, looks like a model, comes from the hip-hop and reggaeton roots of Toronto, seems to have hints of country in her spending a lot of time in Nashville-a Nicole Arbour-Morgan Wallen collab would be legit-and she can flow like anyone from the XXL Freshman Class of 2021. In fact, her video came out around the same time as Rubi Rose (signed to LA Reid's HITCO) released her new video and Nicole went toe to toe in views. Vibe wise, on this track she's Limp Bizkit, '00s Britney, and Kid Rock in one. No idea what the next release will be like, but what I do know is we just threw a joker in the hip-hop card game, and it's about to get real interesting.
