Fans of "American Idol" are outraged that Noah Thompson won Season 2022.

Fans are accusing the show and its creators of rigging the results, and many couldn't believe it.

The season finale aired on ABC on Sunday, with fans seeing the thrilling season dwindle down to only three finalists, with the remaining competitors under the trio of judges - Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.

They even performed together at the live finals.

Noah Thompson and HunterGirl were the top two participants remaining in the competition after Leah Marlene was eliminated during the first half of the three-hour TV event.

However, when Ryan Seacrest opened the silver envelope, more viewers were left stunned as the winner was declared, and many suspected that something was off.

Thompson expressed his gratitude for the show, recalling how he donned his first suit years after attending prom.

Seacrest said that over 16 million votes were cast for the season as Thompson pulled ahead of his country rival.

However, it did not persuade the fans that the battle was fair.

Viewers rushed to social media to express their belief that "American Idol" season 2022 was "rigged" to favor Thompson. Some of them stated that they will never watch the singing competition again.

"You got it wrong, American Idol," one Twitter user who watched the finale stated. "Producers manipulated the show to get their desired conclusion. I'm returning to The Voice."

Another Twitter user accused the judges, Perry and Bryan, of using social media to promote the candidates more than any other candidate on the program, which they believe is "rigged, unfortunately."

On the platform, a third individual expressed his doubt that Marlene or HunterGirl could beat Thompson. "That's crazy!" they said.
