The Radio 1 Big Weekend is onto its last day tonight, and while the festival is one of the radio's biggest so far, it was missing an act that fans have anticipated for so long.

Initially set to perform tonight, Sunday, at the War Memorial Park in Coventry, England, pop star Charli XCX has pulled out last minute because of a huge health issue.

Charli XCX Health Update: Singer Lost Voice Before Europe Concerts and Radio 1 Big Weekend

In a tweet that left fans of the "Boom Clap" singer shocked, the singer announced last Friday that she would not be able to perform in her shows in Belgium and The Netherlands.

"I'm devastated to inform you that I have to cancel my shows in both Brussels and Utrecht today and tomorrow. I have completely lost my voice, and despite trying many techniques to revive it, it is not returning," the singer said in a statement.

Per Charli, she is under her doctor's orders to undergo vocal and physical rest "in the hope" that her voice would come back as soon as possible."

"I wish that there was a way that I could perform for you guys, but singing is literally impossible right now and the show is too physical to tackle whilst my glands are flared up and in pain," she continued.

Aside from her concerts in the two European countries, Charli XCX will also be performing tonight on BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

However, because of her unfortunate health condition, BBC also announced that she would not be making it to the final lineup of performers.

As of this writing, the Radio 1 Big Weekend has not yet confirmed if they will be replacing XCX on the lineup or not.

Apologizing for the letdown, the 29-year-old pop star advised her fans that ticket providers shall be reaching out accordingly for more information about the refund.

While the majority of her fans are worried about her state, fans who have already bought tickets for her upcoming European shows are worried if she will make it to her Berlin, Koln, Barcelona, and Madrid.

Charli XCX has not yet provided if she would continue to cancel or postpone the shows this coming Monday until the foreseeable future. But considering her voice loss; it might take at least a week or two to recover.
