Pearl Jam's tour has been initially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, they're touring across Europe, where they made a big move for a fan suffering from a health condition.

According to People Magazine, a concertgoer named Roland Mandel bought tickets in 2019 for the band's show in Berlin, Germany.

However, since the tour was canceled in 2020, he wasn't able to watch the show until recently.

Unfortunately, during the pandemic, he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, popularly known as ALS.

Since he has a medical condition, he could no longer use his standard ticket for the re-scheduled concert.

The event's venue, Berlin Waldbünhe, could only accommodate 12 seats for handicapped fans out of 22,000 capacity.

All tickets were sold out when Mandel attempted to purchase another ticket.

However, his friends and family did not give up and made sure to make his dreams come true.

They wrote a letter to the organizers of the concert to explain his current condition and desire to see the legendary band perform before he dies.

The hashtag #RVMforRoland was also created to get Pearl Jam's attention on social media.

They were successful as he was able to watch the band perform at the side of the stage.

During their June 21 show, the band made a big move for the fan by performing their rendition of "I Believe in Miracles" by The Ramones.

Mandel was brought up on the stage to sing with the band.

"He should also experience this special night, he worked his ass off to be here tonight. We love you Roland," frontman Eddie Vedder said. (via Live on 4 Legs Podcast)

The latest heartwarming encounter comes a month after drummer Matt Cameron tested positive for COVID-19, leading the band to ask a fan on stage to take over the drum kit.

"Everybody, this is Kai; Kai, this is everybody!," Vedder introduced him to the audience.

Kai Neukermans is a part of the band The Alive with his 14-year-old bassist player brother and friend 17-year-old friend Bastian Evans who plays the guitar and sings.

The band is touring for their European tour before going to the United States for their scheduled shows.

Their next performance will be at Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 28, before visiting cities like Werchter, Stockholm, Copenhagen, London, Budapest, Krakow, Paris, Vienna, and many more.

All of their upcoming shows are posted on their official website.
