After Lil Baby's claims that Gunna and Young Thug are doing great despite waiting in jail for their 2023 trial, another powerful figure has called for the release of the "Pushin P" rapper.

The news came days after Gunna's legal camp started a new petition to challenge the constitutionality of the rapper's alleged wrongful incarceration.

Gunna was denied twice for bond release as the presiding judge believed his freedom could lead to witness tampering.

Kim Kardashian Calls To #FreeGunna

Joining the hip-hop community in the call to Free Gunna from jail was social media personality Kim Kardashian.

While other netizens poked fun at Kim's call to free the rapper, her history on initiatives like these speaks for itself.

Using his megastar power and influence, the SKIMS CEO was a vocal advocate against wrongful incarcerations and prison reform, among many others.

In 2020, Kim Kardashian released the "Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project" documentary in an effort to shed light on her activism focused on the granular level. (via TIME)

According to HipHopDX, Kim also primarily funded 90 Days to Freedom, an initiative that helped free 17 nonviolent drug offenders from their respective life sentences.

Gunna, who claims to be innocent of the alleged wrongdoings he was accused of, is the kind of person that the "KUWTK" star would definitely rally behind for.

Gunna Petitions Henry County To Free Him After Fulton Judge Denial

After two unsuccessful attempts to free Gunna via bond release, the rapper's legal camp is now on their last hurrah to free him, Billboard reports.

Gunna's lawyer is now petitioning over to Fulton County's neighbor, Henry County, to free the rapper through a petition for a writ of habeas corpus.

The petition allows the prisoner, Gunna, to challenge their imprisonment, which his attorneys argue recently that Fulton Country has provided little to no evidence to continue his imprisonment.

To put it simply, Gunna's lawyers are trying to get past Fulton County Court and head to Henry County, as constitutionally, the Habeas petitions can be filed on the jurisdiction where the prisoner is held, in this case in Henry County.

Should Gunna's luck work out in Henry County, he could be released until his trial in January 2023. But should it still be denied, then lawyers could finally appeal to a State Appeals court.
