Barack Obama's Summer Playlist Shocks With THIS Inclusion — Not Beyonce's 'Break My Soul'

It's that time of the year again! Barack Obama, the former president, has released his yearly summer playlist, which features a customarily wide range of current hits and timeless songs by artists including Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Bruce Springsteen, Rakim, and even Fatboy Slim. The list is certainly unexpected of the Head of State. 

But then, he has never let anyone doubted the fact that he's a cool guy, apart from being a good president. 

Obama stated on Twitter that he was eager to share his summer playlist each year because he was learning about so many new artists from the reactions of the people and it's an example of how music really can bring different personalities together. 

Obama, who has "Break My Soul" by Beyoncé at the top of his playlist, appears to agree with everyone else that it is the "Song of the Summer."

Styles' "Music for a Sushi Restaurant," Burna Boy's "Last Last," Bad Bunny and Bomba Estéreo's "Ojitos Lindos," and Kendrick Lamar's "I Am" are among the other new songs.

Obama's cool kid credentials are further enhanced by other choices like Tems' "Vibe Out," Rosala's "Saoko," Doechii's "Persuasive," Dijon's "Many Times," and Omar Apollo's "Tamagotchi," or at the very least the suggestion that he accepts musical advice from his two cool kids. 

The blend of recent and more modern classics, meanwhile, features everything from D'Angelo's "Spanish Joint" and Nina Simone's "Do I Move You? " to Miles Davis' "Blue in Green" and Prince's "Let's Go Crazy." However, Fatboy Slim's 1999 hit "Praise You" is without a doubt the most unexpected song on the ex-playlist.

This is not to deny it's  good though. It's just unexpected - it is an OLDIE but certainly a goodie. The singer is even celebrating his two decaedes in the music industry already.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of his legendary original Brighton Beach Boutique event, Fatboy Slim is releasing "Right Here, Right Then" as a hardback book and in a variety of formats. Despite just 60,000 people being expected to attend the free outdoor concert on July 13, 2002, the famed DJ, who opened the Boutique Nightclub in the beach town, attracted more than 250,000 followers.

The "Praise You" singer, whose actual name is Norman Cook, reflected on the record number of attendees and said, "I guess I was too anxious on the day about crowd safety to truly take it all in, to fully enjoy the event."
