In a recent Instagram post, Kanye West suggested that his children attend Donda Academy instead of the private school Kim Kardashian has selected. The question, though-what exactly is Donda Academy? Why does the singer rapper so adamant that his kids be enrolled here?

A series of controversial Instagram posts, some of which are now taken down, were uploaded by the 45-year-old rapper, rating about various topics, but most notably was the issue of where his children would attend school.

Donda Academy

According to the Donda Academy website, the academy provides students with a "world-class education that includes a rigorous core curriculum, and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving."

It claims that this prepares children to become the "next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators." The minimalistic website also noted that the students will undergo project-based learning to cater to their interests and skills.

Donda Academy also gives emphasis on faith and religion as it provides students time to worship and attend Sunday Service, this is reflective of West's religious beliefs.

The academy reportedly boasts a choir and other enrichment courses, including parkour, film, visual art, and world language. Donda Academy is accepting students for pre-K to 12th grade, noting that each classroom will only house no more than 12 students.

'This is Co-Parenting'

"My kids going to Donda," said West in a now-deleted Instagram post. Amid their divorce, West and Kardashian are trying to co-parent their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. However, it seems that the couple is having trouble getting in the same boat regarding where their children will study, as Kardashian insists on enrolling the children in a private school in Los Angeles.

A furious West shared his sentiments on Instagram saying "I'm the kids' father. [...] I was driven crazy before. I'm not going crazy no more [sic]. It's not up to Calabasas or Hulu where my kids go to school." He added that he would pursue the matter legally if that is what it takes to have a say in the matter.

Tensions were high as the two discussed, apparently. West revealed screenshots of a conversation with presumably Kardashian. "We need to talk in person," he wrote. "You don't have say so of where the kids go to school [sic]," he added, "Why you get say? Cause you half white? [sic]?"

He also reportedly made a call-out to Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner. "Don't let Kris make you do playboy like she made Kyle and Kim do. [...] Not gonna let it happy to Northy and Chicago."

People on the Internet have varied reactions to this heated exchange, although most did not agree with West's "co-parenting" style.

"Kanye loves to play the Black Card when convenient. He chose to date, marry and impregnate Kim knowing the stigma that surrounded her & her family. He literally pursued her. I don't feel bad for him one bit," a user commented on Twitter.

"What does 'my kids going to Donda' mean? His mom is dead. I dunno, people, this guy gets scarier each time he melts down. They need to not leave those children with him alone," another wrote.

"What? This doesn't make sense. No! Choose a school for them to attend & that will be their main school," a user commented on Instagram.

"The man just wants his family back," a fan commented.

As of this writing, there is no word as to where the West children will enroll for the following school year.
