Bad news for Coldplay fans! The band has announced that they would be canceling their upcoming shows due to Chris Martin's serious health condition; what happened to the frontman and when are they coming back?

Taking to their official Instagram account, the British group said they are forced to postpone their shows in Brazil until early 2023 because of the vocalist's "serious lung infection."

They noted that the singer had been put under "strict doctor's orders" to recover and rest over the next few weeks. Now, the band is doing their best to reschedule the shows and confirm the new dates which will be announced in the next few days.

"To everyone in Brazil who was looking forward to these concerts, we're extremely sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience, and we're so grateful for your understanding at this challenging time where we need to prioritise Chris' health," they added.

Regarding the tickets, Coldplay clarified passes that were initially purchased for the shows are still valid for their upcoming rescheduled dates, which will be in early 2023. For fans who wanted to get a refund, they may do so by contacting the point of sale.

Concluding their statement, the band said they are optimistic their frontman will return to good health after spending some time away to recover.

Fans Shocked Over Chris Martin's Health Condition

After sharing the announcement, many fans immediately bombarded the comment section to react to Chris Martin's health condition.

"Wowwww I was so excited what a shame Take care CHRIIISSS," one wrote.

"Have a lemon tea with honey, take care of yourself, kiss on the forehead for you," another fan wrote.

Many users also shared their well-wishes to the singer, telling him that he should rest and recover from his serious lung infection.

According to their official website, the postponed dates are from October 11 to 12 at the Estádio Nilton Santos Engenhão in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and on October 15 to 22 at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo.

As of this writing, their shows in Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, starting October 25 appear to be not postponed. However, there are only a few shows that have available tickets.

Coldplay will also visit cities like Coimbra, Barcelona, Manchester, Cardiff, Naples, Milan, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Amsterdam, and many more until 2023.
