Tyga, Kylie Jenner's ex-boyfriend, has had his own ups and downs since he started his career.

The rapper, whose real name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, established his career as a rapper starting in 2004. Although his music career blooms, it is often outshined by his personal issues.

Amid his absence in the music industry, here are some facts fans should know about the rapper.

Happy Birthday, Tyga!

Tyga, who was born in 1989, is turning 33 on November 19. He is yet to reveal what his birthday plans are for this year, but fans have already sent him birthday wishes to mark his special day.

He is a son of Jamaican and Vietnamese parents in Compton, California, before his family moved to Gardena.

Tyga Net Worth 2022

As of 2022, Tyga's estimated net worth on several websites differs.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Tyga has a net worth of $7 million. Meanwhile, Wealthy Gorilla's website says it is $5 million.

Although he has a whopping amount of money, Tyga has also been known for his unideal financial choices. In fact, he lost his $2.2 million to owning a Maybach.

According to Daily Mail, the rapper owned the rarer and more expensive Maybach compared to what he gave Kylie Jenner on her 19th birthday. When he already obtained a 2014 Mercedes-Maybach 62 S Landaulet, he still brought it to west coast Customs for $900,000 worth of additional worth.

However, it eventually got repossessed after he stopped to pay the lease for the vehicle.

Tyga's Career

Amid that financial woe, Tyga tried to support his finances through his musical career.

The rapper marked the start of his career with his first independent album, "No Introduction." One of its songs, "Diamond Life," was used for the video games like "Need for Speed: Undercover" and "Madden NFL 2009."

Additionally, the 2009 movie "Fighting" obtained its license to use it.

Tyga then signed on to Lil Wayne's label, Young Money Entertainment, before appearing on the Young Money song "Bedrock" and releasing the mixtape, "Fan of a Fan."

Unfortunately, he experienced a sales slump with his next album's release between 2017 and 2018. His single,  "Taste," which features Offset, became a driver for him to peak at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 again.

So far, Tyga's studio albums include "Careless World: Rise of the Last King," "Hotel California," "Kyoto," and "Legendary." He also added movies under his belt, like "Mac & Devin Go to High School," "Once Upon a Time in Venice," "Welcome to My Life," and "Boo! a Madea Halloween."
