Candice Rickelle Glover was born on November 22, 1989. Her birthplace was in Beaufort, South Carolina. She is the oldest of five siblings. She attended Beaufort High School, and graduated from there in 2008. As of 2022, Glover is reportedly single, and is not dating anyone.
Career Milestones
The season 12 American Idol winner was the first female vocalist to win the title, since Jordin Sparks won the singing competition in season six. Glover was eliminated in her first two rounds of attempts of auditioning for Idol. Glover previously auditioned in AI's seasons 9 and 11. She succeeded in making it to the preliminaries in her third audition for the 12th season. Glover was not happy with the public's response on her first album. Still, though, she admitted in an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she doesn't regret being on American Idol.
Glover released her debut album in 2014. The AI winner took time away from posting on social media after her album's release. Glover took a break from being present in social media platforms due to the communication problem she encountered in relation to her album's release. Glover candidly shared to NBC News her reaction regarding the situation, saying,""That definitely affected me ... and by me not really posting on social media and stuff, definitely when you're not letting people know what you do every day, you kind of lose that audience."

In 2017, Glover was part of the cast of the Christmas musical, "Home for the Holidays." The musician was able to show case her vocal talents on Broadway when she was cast in that musical.
