Is Luke Bryan going to leave "American Idol" soon?
According to Radar Online, the country singer is considering leaving the singing reality TV program when the current season concludes.
Fans of the program who only watch because of Luke have good news: he has already guaranteed another year of judging, which will keep him on until the spring.
Luke will return, along with co-judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, while Ryan Seacrest will continue to host.
The "That's My Kind of Night" hitmaker is leaving one of the longest-running reality singing competition series in order to spend more time with his family.
The source explained that the 46-year-old Georgia native occasionally travels all night to return home to Nashville to spend a few hours with his boys - but he recognizes that it is insufficient.
Luke Bryan has five children. Two of them are shared with his wife Caroline Boyer, with whom he has been married since 2006. Following the terrible loss of Luke's sister, Kelly, in 2007, they later adopted two nieces and one nephew. Kelly's husband, Ben, also died in 2017.
Their two biological children, Thomas and Tatum, are 14 and 12 years old, respectively.
One source revealed the "One Margarita" singer wants more flexibility to create new experiences with his family, which may lead him to drop his judging role because he already has a full plate.
They further said, Luke Bryan is reportedly intending to cut back on touring since his riches "isn't worth a hill of beans" if he misses any more of his boys' milestones.
