Playboi Carti is suffering the blowback of his actions as he was reportedly arrested after choking his pregnant girlfriend over a dispute on a paternity test.

A recent report from TMZ says that Carti has allegedly physically harmed her girlfriend, who was pregnant at the time, presumably with his child.

Playboi Carti Arrested For Choking Pregnant Girlfriend

Per the outlet's obtained arrest records, Playboi Carti was reported to have grabbed her girlfriend by her throat, pushing and holding her neck tightly until she was gasping for air.

Playboi Carti's girlfriend told the cops that she thought she was going to die at the hands of her boyfriend strangling her. A witness was said to have helped her get out of Carti, but when she ran to the car, she was again pursued by the rapper - attacking her again.

Carti's girlfriend tried to use the SOS feature of the car, even before he managed to drag her girlfriend out - shushing her with his hand on her mouth as the woman tried to flee in terror.

When the police arrived at the scene, "visible" injuries were seen on the woman's neck, chest, and back, which were clear indications that she fought back during their heated altercation.

However, the incident did not take place recently, as it happened way back on Dec. 20, 2022.

The outlet also says that the argument that led to Playboi Carti choking her girlfriend was over a paternity test. As of this writing, it was not clear if the child her girlfriend was carrying was his or not.

Authorities say that the woman has been in a relationship with the rapper for two years already, and they have been living together since July 2022 and were 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the choking incident.

Meanwhile, Playboi Carti's lawyer has since denied the allegations thrown at his client, arguing that it was only allegations.

"Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney's office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation," his lawyer Brian Steel said in a statement to TMZ.

Notably, Steel was also the legal counsel of now-embattled rapper Young Thug, who is also being pressed in Georgia for conspiring to violate the RICO Act of the state, among many other felony crimes.

Playboi Carti's arrest, however, was for felony aggravated assault.
