The sexual assault claims directed towards rocker Marilyn Manson have been diverted.

According to reports, Ashley Smithline, Manson's accuser, recanted her statement that Manson sexually assaulted her.

"I succumbed to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood and her associates to make accusations of rape and assault against Mr. Warner that were not true," Smithline's statement reads.

Instead, she pointed the finger at the rocker's ex-girlfriend, actress Evan Rachel Wood, as the mastermind of the entire thing.

"I succumbed to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood and her associates to make accusations of rape and assault against Mr. Warner that were not true."

Reports said that the model sued Manson back in 2021 for a myriad of allegations, including sexual assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, human trafficking, unlawful imprisonment, and others.

"I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission," Smithline added, referring to Wood. "Eventually, I started to believe that what I was repeatedly told happened to Ms. Wood and Ms. Bianco also happened to me."

Evan Rachel Wood's Fires Back

The actress' camp did not take accusations lying down, in fact, right after the Smithline recanted the allegations and blamed Wood, they issued their statement.

"Evan never pressured or manipulated Ashley. It was Ashley who first contacted Evan about the abuse she had suffered," the statement read.

"It's unfortunate that the harassment and threats Ashley received after filing her federal lawsuit appear to have pressured her to change her testimony."

On top of the new information surrounding the case, the model clarified that she and Mason had a "brief, consensual sexual relationship" back in 2010.

She did not associate with the 54-year-old rocker after that, but she was reportedly called to take part of a "group meeting of women" in which they discussed their "relationships or experiences" with Manson.

"I remember [Wood] asked me whether I had been, among other things, whipped, chained, tied up, branded/cut, assaulted while sleeping, beaten, or raped," Smithline's statement continued. he said all of these things happened to Ms. Wood and others, and that when Ms. Wood was with [Manson] every moment was a moment of survival."

As of this writing, Mason has sued his ex-girlfriend for the "organized attack" directed at him, which includes false rape accusations.
