Union J, a boy band popularly known after auditioning on the X-Factor, has been making rounds all over social media over the past few hours as they canceled their reunion tour without prior notice.

It all began when furious fans took to Twitter to share that the tickets they purchased for the shows had been refunded without the group announcing anything.

"not union j cancelling their tour and we all find out through ticketmaster... what stopped them telling us themselves," one wrote.

"As if union j cancelled their tour and they haven't put anything out on their socials formally??? After spending all that money and only finding out via Twitter is disgraceful," another fan wrote, while another one expressed their disappointment, "i'm actually gutted that union j just cancelled their tour.. i was so excited to finally see them as the og 4."

Union J Finally Addresses Tour Cancelation

The four-piece band consisting of JJ Hamblett, Josh Cuthbert, Jaymi Hensley, and George Shelley, finally addressed the incident after being silent for a while.

Taking to their official Instagram account, the members said they are "beyond gutted" that their tour has been canceled and the reason why they haven't released any statement was that they were "strongly advised not to say anything."

Union J Apologizes to Fans

Elsewhere in their statement, the band apologized to their supporters for "any upset that has been caused." They clarified that they love and appreciate their fans and that performing for them is what they live for.

"Once again, a million apologies, this has been a tough weekend for us," they noted, before adding that they will make it up to their supporters in the future.

Union J will give an update regarding their tour "as soon as they can," but as of this writing, the exact reason why their series of concerts have been canceled was not revealed to the public.

In early posts, the band surprised fans by announcing their reunion tour on social media. They were initially scheduled to kick off their shows at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle on May 26, before performing in cities like Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Birmingham.
