Post Malone just dropped a new single and music video where he showcased his vulnerability and gave fans an insight into his personal life.

According to Uproxx, the musician released "Chemical." The new track candidly delves into the story of his vices and addictions.

In the chorus of the track, Post Malone is apologizing for his actions as he couldn't let go of his wrongdoings, singing, "Tell you that I'm sorry, tell me what I gotta do / 'Cause I can't let go, it's chemical / No, I can't let go, it's chemical."

In the visuals for the song, the rapper was smiling as he vibed through a studio full of photo sets. Although it was apparent that he was happy with what he was doing, there's a sad truth inside of him that shows that everything is unwell.

"Chemical" is now available for streaming on major music platforms online like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and more. Watch the music video above.

Post Malone Gets Candid About Alcoholism

The song was not the first time Post Malone opened up about his addiction to alcohol as he got candid during a conversation with Howard Stern last year.

Speaking on the Sirius XM radio show, the musician revealed that he's "responsible now," but before he got to that point in his life, it was hard for him as there were moments when he "couldn't get up off the floor for weeks."

One of the main reasons why he changed his lifestyle was because he got engaged and had a baby, saying there are "super beautiful people" around him.

"I met a really beautiful person that made me feel like a human being again. It's the guidance out of the dark into the light ... She saved my f****** life - it's pretty epic," he added.

Aside from the closest people around him, a big celebrity also helped him get through his problems; Justin Bieber.

Post Malone is 'Happiest' He's Ever Been

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Rockstar" hitmaker revealed that he is excited for the next chapter of his life because he's "the happiest" he has ever been because he was sad in the past.

Now that he already overcame his problems with alcohol, Post Malone has been taking care of his body, family, and friends.

In other updates, Post Malone is currently touring across European countries. His next show would be at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway, on April 22, 2023.
