Matty Healy reportedly broke up with model Meredith Mickelson just weeks prior to beginning a relationship with Taylor Swift. The 34-year-old frontman of The 1975 was rumored to have dated the 23-year-old model with a large social media following before they broke up in February.
A source told The Sun, Matty dated Meredith while he was in Los Angeles in February, but the relationship ended when he returned to New York at the end of the month.
MailOnline has contacted Meredith Mickelson's representatives for comment. It follows the Wednesday allegation of a new relationship between Matty and Taylor, just weeks after Taylor's divorce from actor Joe Alwyn.
According to reports, the Swift is madly in love with Matty after their long-standing friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. The Sun reports that the couple, who first met in 2014, will announce their relationship during her concert in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift broke up with her beau of six years, Joe, 32, after struggling with their career differences, just weeks before the news of her new relationship broke. Fans are devastated, thinking Alwyn was already the one for the singer.
That's why news of Swift now moving on with a new guy seems to not sit well for some. Many think this could be a rebound love for either of them, while some speculate that they can have been each other's "true" reason for breaking up with respective partners/exes.

More so when outlets keep saying Taylor Swift is reportedly and already madly in love with Matt, the son of Loose Women star Denise Welch and Benidorm actor Tim Healy, despite the brief turnaround.
Taylor Swift has dated several British men, including Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston, in addition to her most recent relationship with Joe. Regardless of what people say however, the rumored couple is said to be eager to go public with their love, with Matty, 34, reportedly set to join Taylor, 33, as a special guest during her Eras tour performance in Nashville.
According to a source close to the situation, she and Matty are passionately in love. According to The Sun, Matty will perform two Taylor Swift songs, following in her footsteps from February, when she performed two 1975 songs at their London concert.
A source told the publication that Taylor and Matty have been preparing their "coming out" for a few weeks and are ecstatic to finally make their relationship public. Meredith has over three million Instagram followers and is reportedly domiciled between Los Angeles and Paris.
