John Frusciante returned to Red Hot Chili Peppers after previously leaving his bandmates twice, but what is he up to now?

Frusciante has been the other musicians' inspiration and role model as he was acknowledged several times as one of the best guitarists of all time. He made it to the Rolling Stones' 100 Greatest Artists of All Time list, but the guitarist also suffered a fair share of condemnations because of his skills.

Years after he left Red Hot Chili Peppers, where exactly is he now?

John Frusciante Net Worth 2023

Celebrity Net Worth estimates that John Frusciante's net worth in 2023 is around $25 million - lower than what fans expect it to be since he played with one of the biggest bands in the world.

His life issues, which affected his career, played a huge role in his financial loss and instability.

One of which was his marriage and divorce with Nicole Turkey, who demanded $75,000 per month in alimony following their split in 2015. Still, Frusciante has kept his net worth at the million-dollar mark, thanks to his real estate and solo career.

Why Did He Leave Red Hot Chili Peppers?

Frusciante left Red Hot Chili Peppers twice: the first was in 1992 but he rejoined in 1998, and the second and last one in 2009. He rejoined the band a decade later after having a heartfelt conversation with bassist Flea, who also announced Josh Klinghoffer's exit.

During an interview with Radio X, the guitarist opened up about how he decided to exit because of his off-balance mental status and desire to explore the occult.

"I had always been interested in the occult, but I really got into it when I was in the Chili Peppers," he said. "But it's hard to explore that kind of thing when you're constantly on the road."

Where Is He Now?

When Frusciante officially left Red Hot Chili Peppers, he indeed started exploring the occult while releasing his solo albums, including "Enclosure" and "The Empyrean."

In 2022, he marked his first album with the band, titled "Unlimited Love," since his last music project with them in 2006. A few months later, Frusciante and Red Hot Chili Peppers dropped their 13th studio album, "Return of the Dream Canteen."
