Greta Van Fleet unleashed a new song from its upcoming album, "Starcatcher," ahead of its release.

The Frankenmuth, Michigan-based band is set to release a new studio album following the success of its first two LPs: debut album "Anthem of the Peaceful Army" and 2021 "The Battle At Garden's Gate." Both materials dominated different charts globally and earned accolades from different award-giving bodies.

Ahead of the third album's arrival, Greta Van Fleet presented a new track fresh from its "Starcatcher" album.

Greta Van Fleet Unveils New 2023 Song

Greta Van Fleet's YouTube channel unveiled the official audio of the latest song from its third studio album, titled "The Falling Sky."

It follows the release of three other songs from Greta Van Fleet's "Starcatcher" album, including "Meeting the Master," "Sacred The Thread," and "Farewell For Now."

The band did not disclose whether it would release another song before the album release on July 21 on Lava/Republic/EMI, but the 10-track album still has six unheard songs as of press time: "Fate Of the Faithful," "Waited All Your Life," "Runway Blues," "The Indigo Streak," "Frozen Light," and "The Archer."

"An unwavering warrior carrying on the endless, eternal, and impossible battle for salvation; these were the elements of symbolism associated with this particular track," the band's guitarist Jake Kiszka said of the new song. "In essence our fate is sealed, alike the stars that fall from the almighty heavens to the earth."

He added that Greta Van Fleet members did not force their writing because everything became "instinctual" for them, explaining that the album is a fruit of their hard work as a group and as individual musicians.

More Details About "Starcatcher"

Jake, frontman Josh Kiszka, keyboardist Sam Kiszka, and drummer Danny Wagner collaborated with producer Dave Cobb to create Greta Van Fleet's new album. RCA Studios in Nashville recorded the tracks in the album, per Blabbermouth.

According to Wagner, "Starcatcher" explores the difference between fantasy and reality as well as light and darkness. He explained that Greta Van Fleet worked on the album due to the members' desire to share their stories with the world in order to build a universe.

Greta Van Fleet was formed in 2012, and the band has since released record-breaking albums that it already sold over 3.5 million records worldwide.
