Guns N' Roses' agency broke its silence following the backlash the band received due to its Glastonbury 2023 performance.

The Axl Rose-fronted band headlined the second night of the three-day festival at the Worthy Farm, during which it performed its hit songs to mark its Glastonbury debut. However, not everyone felt pleased due to Guns N' Roses "sounding bad" throughout the set.

Guns N' Roses Agency Addresses Glastonbury 2023 Complains

Fans who watched the Glastonbury 2023 on BBC iPlayer complained about the band sounding band when it headlined the show at the Pyramid Stage. According to Express UK, BBC viewers said they could not hear Rose well enough from the beginning until the end of performance.

After the backlash, Guns N' Roses' agency "dug deep" on the issue and discovered that the problem was from the BBC itself and not the band or its equipment, Wales Online reported.

"Axl was in top form last night. We have dug deep into the matter, and it appears the broadcast had issues being played on certain TVs like UHDs," said the agency's spokesperson. "This was an unfortunate issue that the mix played through these TVs sounded so poorly; however, it was not the band's fault but the BBC's."

Despite the explanation, fans expressed their disappointment to hear Guns N' Roses and Rose perform that way, especially since the group is considered one of the biggest rock bands in history.

But aside from TV viewers, in-person concertgoers reportedly witnessed and heard a similar issue when they attended the festival.

People also posted their complaints online and told different news outlets about it. One told Mirror Online that they struggled to hear the frontman, saying that Rose himself was aware of the sound issues.

Per the unnamed attendee, the singer told the crowd he could not walk out the stage further since he would only be able to hear himself and not the band if he did so.

"It's hard to judge Guns N'Roses Glastonbury set," another fan said, per The Sun. "The band sounded fantastic, and when you could hear Axl Rose, he sounded great. However when you couldn't it made it a hard watch. I'm not sure if that's due to his voice or sound problems."

Guns N' Roses members have not directly addressed the complaints yet.
