Travis Scott is officially out of the woods for any criminal charges and wrongdoings at the tragic Astroworld Festival crush of 2021. A Houston Grand Jury has finally concluded its investigation on the said incident that claimed the lives of 10 festivalgoers and injured thousands of people.
Months ago, a class action lawsuit was introduced, but now the official investigation has finally cleared the rapper of any wrongdoings and legal headaches.
Houston Jury Clears Travis Scott, Live Nation
According to a Variety report, Travis Scott will not be facing any criminal charges related to the disastrous Astroworld Festival incident in 2021.
The Houston Chronicle initially reported the news. It says that the investigation has finally concluded after two years. Per Houston Police Chief Troy Finner, they would not elaborate more on what the department thinks went south during the festival.
However, they would be releasing a redacted 1,200-page report detailing their findings.
In the end, the Houston Grand Jury decided not to indict Scott who has been denying all allegations since the blame was thrown on him. Although the jurors did consider pressing charges toward execs behind the festival, including Festival Manager Brent Silberstein, Live Nation Senior Director of Global Security Operations John Junnel, and three more execs, the jury did not indict them too.
"Our investigators and prosecutors gave it everything they had to ensure that the grand jury could reach the truth," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said in a statement as quoted by Reuters.

Travis Scott 'Wrongly' Accused?
Kent Schaffer, Travis Scott's lawyer, reiterated his client's innocence on the matter, calling the chapter to now be "closed."
"We hope for the government efforts to focus on what is most important - stopping future heartbreaking tragedies like Astroworld from ever occurring again," Schaffer said in a statement.
Travis Scott's infamous Astroworld Festival has claimed the lives of 10 festivalgoers, two of whom were 14-year-olds. Thousands were also injured in the said festival, as per reports.
"While waiting patiently for the District Attorney's decision to not file charges, Travis Scott has been inaccurately and wrongly singled out, despite stopping the show three separate times and being unaware of the events as they were unfolding," Schaffer continued to say in defense of Scott.
