Jeff Young is not holding back with his choice of words as he recently fired back against Dave Mustaine after he shared his personal opinion about his former Megadeth bandmates; what did the guitarist say about his assessment?

According to Loudwire, Mustaine previously shared in a June 2023 interview that the band's former guitarist, Marty Friedman, is the only ex-member who did something significant.

It appears that Young, who is not a part of the band anymore, does not agree as he expressed his true feelings in a recent conversation.

The former member spoke with "Disturbing the Priest" podcast where he was asked about Mustaine's recent sentiments about Megadeth.

Young recalled the "little number one Brazilian world music" that he did in 1998 with his collaborator Badi Assad and Chameleon, questioning that it was significant at the time of its release.

Jeff Young Says Dave Mustaine Spreads Misinformation

Elsewhere in the interview, the musician went on to claim that his former bandmate's whole mission is to "promote disinformation and disinfo and lies."

He then pointed out that it was funny because Mustaine had been aiming the track "Liar," from their album "So Far, So Good... So What!," at other people.

"he needs to look in the mirror, man. Because the stuff you say and the songs you write you're writing about yourself," he added.

Dave Mustaine Reveals the Only Megadeth Member Who's 'Ever Amounted to Anything'

In an interview with Bloodstock TV last month, Dave Mustaine opened up about reuniting with former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman at their concert at Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo.

He recalled the heartwarming interaction with his good pal as he told in the conversation that there were a lot of emotions that evening.

Mustaine then praised Friedman for making a name for himself after leaving Megadeth. Although he didn't want to offend his other bandmates, he believes that the guitarist "seems to be the only one that's ever amounted to anything."

In early reports, Marty Friedman left the group in 2000 as he wanted to pursue other musical interests. His departure was amicable as he said he and the band didn't fight about anything.

Since then, the musician made a name in Japan where he got big success by collaborating with other singers and appearing on TV shows in the country.
