Lizzo is experiencing the fallout of her music career as she continue to face the damning lawsuit that three of her former dancers have thrown at her.

As she continued to lose followers on Instagram, the Grammy-winning singer gained a friend after Grimes defended her honor on social media.

Grimes Defended Lizzo

On Aug. 6, 2023, Grimes took to X, formerly Twitter, the new platform owned and operated by her ex-husband, Elon Musk, to vent out and express a statement of support for the now-embattled singer.

"I love Lizzo," Grimes wrote at the start, saying that it's not that she does not believe people when bad things happen, but she recalled having dancers that were mistreated in ways she did not find out until later.

"Mebe shit is bad. But loyalty matters to me. Lizzo was kind to me and others for a decade before she was "cool", and she checked in on me when no one cared," Grimes continued to say.

According to Grimes, she has "only ever seen" exemplary behavior from the "Truth Hurts" singer, especially at the time when she described that "everyone was hating on her" and she was "on top of the world.

She also said that Lizzo had no reason to check in on her, which was a testament that of her good behavior.

On her two cents, Grimes recalled that when Lizzo achieved global stardom, she was happy because she had "never known such an admirable person to find fame in the music industry."

"I struggle to believe she would have so radically changed tired of a culture that seeks to destroy its greatest virtues. Lizzo is amazing," she went on.
