Ye is gearing up to release a new album following his controversial actions over the past few years, sources said.

Ye - previously performed under the moniker Kanye West - reportedly started working on new music to mark his return to the industry - although the embattled rapper and his representatives have yet to confirm the report.

Kanye West's New Music Coming Soon?

The unnamed insiders told NBC News that Ye would drop his first material since his February 2022 album, "Donda 2."

One of the insiders said they were in a studio with the rapper and listened to his music together with the rapper's partner, Bianca Censori. Meanwhile, a second source said the new music is "imminent."

Both sources, however, said the other details are uncertain, including the platform on which the rapper would be releasing his new music.

The news outlet tried to reach Ye and his representatives for confirmation and comment, but the team has not responded yet as of press time.

Ye's Problematic Life, Career Explored

The news about the new album came after Ye dealt with several issues over the past years, testing his empire as an artist.

He faced several lawsuits, including the filing submitted by celebrity photographer Nichol Lechamanik, who reportedly assaulted him in a confrontation in January. She tapped Gloria Allred to represent her in the case and held a press conference to detail what happened during the "traumatic" incident.

"He reached into my car as if he was going to hit me. He grabbed my phone out of my hand and then angrily threw it into the street," the paparazzo said, per AllHipHop. "He caused me so much fear, I have not been able to be the same since then. His actions have interfered with my ability to work."

A video of the incident has since gone viral, taken when Ye attended a sporting event with Kim Kardashian at Sports Academy in Newbury Park, California.

He also lost his brands and deals due to his antisemitic remarks and his rampant toxic behavior over the past few years. His non-stop hate speech led social media pages to remove him from the outlets, although he soon regained his access again.
