It's not tough to notice the score to the Lord of The Rings film trilogy, as Peter Jackson ensured that Howard Shore's epic score emphasized the equally epic activity onscreen. If you would prefer an even more noticeable highlight for the audio aspect of the trilogy then you'll need to head over to Lincoln Center during April 2015, when the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of Lucerne will perform the scores for all three films live while the film shows, according to The New York Times

Ludwig Wicki will conduct the orchestra between April 8-12 when it performs the trilogy twice. Unfortunately for endurance fans the three films won't be aired side-by-side. The first series will take place during the week over a span of three days and the second sequence will occur over that weekend, with one stand-alone performance and one day hosting a morning and evening performance.

This marks the first time that all three films have been performed live with the film. Radio City Music Hall hosted a similar event during 2009-'10 but only incorporated the first two Lord of The Rings films.

The 21st Symphony Orchestra and Chorus has made live score performances somewhat of its specialty. Other films that have gotten similar treatment are Fantasia, The West Side Story and Pirates of The Caribbean

The Lord of The Rings score was just as critically acclaimed as Jackson's movies. Shore received two Academy Awards for Best Original Score, coming from his work on The Fellowship of The Ring and Return of The King
