Liam Payne's ex Cheryl Tweedy, the mom of his son Bear, is reportedly concerned about the former One Direction.
Payne's current status after his hospitalization remains unknown, with the last update revealing that he was receiving treatment at a hospital in Italy after suffering kidney pains. He and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, were celebrating their first anniversary at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Lake Como when he suddenly faced a health issue.
Liam Payne's Ex-Partner "Concerned" Over His Health
Sources close to Cheryl Tweedy told OK! that she finds it very hard as she wants Payne to be well and healthy again.
"She's always tried to support him because he's Bear's father and she's always tried to be there for him," the unnamed insiders said. "It's very hard for Cheryl - she feels upset about it. She is worried and concerned for Liam because he's Bear's dad and she wants him to be the best dad he can be."
Amid the lack of updates, fans bombarded Cassidy's Instagram page in the hopes of finding an update about the "Bedroom Floor" singer's status. Others left #Freeliam comments, urging her to leave Payne alone.
Payne's mother broke her silence in an interview with Daily Mail, expressing how helpless she felt as her son stayed in a hospital far from them.
"We are all worried sick about it, but we just have to get on," she said. "It's horrible - him being all the way over there."
She added there is nothing they can do but hope for the best for Payne.

Liam Payne Suffered After One Direction's Hiatus?
Prior to his hospitalization, Payne canceled his first solo tour because of a serious kidney infection. He revealed on Instagram that he had been unwell while preparing for the show until he was advised not to push through with the schedule.
Meanwhile, one of his friends told The Sun that they were not surprised about his hospitalization because he reportedly had been in a downward spiral because of his lifestyle.
They alleged that One Direction's hiatus led him to party more because there were no longer restrictions. Unfortunately, the freedom he got only pushed him closer to a dangerous lifestyle that harmed his well-being.
