Country artist HARDY is taking a short break to allow himself to recover fully from the mental health issues he started dealing with after the bus accident.

HARDY's tour bus was involved in an accident after a show in Bristol. Three other passengers - including the driver - also sustained injuries after the horrifying event.

Although a year has passed since it happened, the country singer decided to take a break and cancel two of his upcoming shows.

HARDY Cancels Shows

On his official Instagram page, HARDY announced the cancelation of his two shows that are part of his ongoing The Mockingbird & the Crow fall tour.

He cited his continuous struggles with anxiety and panic attacks as the reason behind his decision.

"I need to be honest with everyone for a second," HARDY wrote a post on Tuesday, October 3. "I've been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year, and over the last two weeks, it has taken control of my life. It has caused me to suffer many panic attacks, which have landed me in the hospital."

The shows in question were originally scheduled for October 5 and 7 in Simpsonville, S.C., and Brandon, Miss., respectively.

Meanwhile, his Georgia Rodeo show - which was set to happen on October 6 - has been postponed until April 12, 2024.

He started the tour leg after releasing his most recent album of the same name, which topped the country music charts earlier this year.

HARDY, whose real name is Michael Wilson Hardy, explained that he needs a moment to focus on himself as he becomes better for his wife, family and his fans.

His current plan includes returning on stage on October 12 in Jonesboro, Ark. On the other hand, fans can apply for refunds at the point of purchase.

HARDY Knows the Importance of Shutting Off the Noise

Previously, HARDY opened up about his brain being on overload despite quieting things down. He told People that he would often retreat to his cabin, where he enjoys silence.

"Silence is the greatest thing ever to me," he continued. "I stayed there by myself every night. I needed that reset to feel normal again and to make the road exciting again."
