Britney Spears suffered a major heartbreak when her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake cruelly called it quits on their relationship.
In her tell-all memoir, "The Woman In Me," Britney divulged a startling request from her former beau.
According to the "Womanizer" singer, during their four-year relationship, he had asked her to abort when she became pregnant with his child, saying they both were too young for parenthood.
In 2002, the tumultuous relationship between Britney and Justin ended abruptly.
Rumors had been circulating that Justin had cheated on her with a celebrity, which Britney confirmed in her memoir.
But in an unexpected twist of events, Justin decided to end things over text message, and the contents of this breakup have since been disclosed.
While shooting her two-day music video in downtown Los Angeles, Britney received a message that made her quip, "He blew away his best thing."
Chris Applebaum, director of "Overprotected: Darkchild Remix," commented that she had disappeared for around 20 to 40 minutes - quite a lengthy duration considering how much it costs production in terms of time and money.
When Chris saw Britney, she was in an emotional state. She had on a Juicy Couture tracksuit, and her makeup was smudged.
Sitting there with tears streaming down her face, she showed him her Motorola flip phone. In a gloomy tone, she exclaimed, via Page Six: "I can't believe it. Look it. This happened."
Britney received a devastating text from Justin that said: "It's over!!!"
Considering this, Chris was determined to help her rebound and suggested she make the NSYNC star regret his decision.

As PR strategist Laura Perkes, founder of PR with Perkes, reviewed the released excerpts from Britney Spears' memoir, she has offered helpful advice to publicists working with Justin: seize the opportunity to shape his narrative.
According to Laura, this is something the "Cry Me A River" can do now.
Laura remarked to The Mirror: "Things look pretty dismal for Justin Timberlake in the wake of Britney's shocking disclosure. No matter how much he attempts to distance himself from the situation, these revelations can't be swept under the rug and should be addressed head-on."
The expert further expressed her concerns: "The press and Justin and Britney's supporters alike will be seeking clarity about what happened. Trying to overlook the circumstances won't make them disappear; however, it could complicate matters further."
