Spears appeared in headlines again after the excerpts from her upcoming memoir "The Woman in Me" surfaced. The book, out on October 24, revealed details about her private life, including her past relationship with Justin Timberlake and her conservatorship.
Amid her continuous buzz online, fans came up with shocking conspiracy theories suggesting that Spears died a long time ago and was only replaced with a body double.
Fans Think Britney Spears Is Already Dead
The Mirror recently explained the mystery surrounding the conspiracy theories, suggesting that Spears was either dead or replaced. Others also claimed that AI plays a huge role in making it look like she is still alive.
Videos on TikTok highlighted the conspiracy theorists' stories and included the hashtag #WhereIsBritney to spread the trend.
One of the theories alleged that the "Everytime" singer and Justin Timberlake were involved in a tragic car accident before the release of her debut album in 1999. The crash reportedly killed her instantly, prompting her to be replaced.
According to the theory, Timberlake survived the accident but suffered burns and was put into a coma. Some suggested that he had also been replaced.
Amid the talks, Spears once dismissed the claims in an Instagram post, writing, "Psss this is not a memoir I am not dead people !!! This is a flashback to remind me to get my a-- on the dance floor and shake my a** !!! PSSS I'm an equal American citizen now !!! I can go to spas now too."

Britney Spears Was Replaced by an AI?
Another theory shared by The Mirror claimed that Spears was replaced by an AI, sharing photos from her wedding to Sam Asghari to prove the story.
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton was quick to debunk the rumors and shut down the "ridiculous" stories about Spears being replaced. She also shared photos taken during their friend Cade Hudson's birthday party to prove the theorists wrong.
Still, people commented on the post and sparking more theories.
"It's really strange how half the necklace chains are missing in the photo with Britney. And what's wrong with her fingers?" one said.
"Is that an AI Britney?? Look at her fingers!!!" another wrote. "WTF Paris? You're becoming more and more shady to me and I used to love you dude. How dare you participate in whatever is going on with Brit?"
