The Beatles recently dropped a new song titled "Now and Then" and fans were surprised as it features the vocals of John Lennon thanks to the assistance of artificial intelligence.

More recently, Paul McCartney revealed how his good pal would have reacted to the song if ever he's alive in the present.

The musician spoke in the new documentary titled "Now And Then - The Last Beatles Song" where he noted that Lennon "would have loved" the new song.

Considered as John Lennon's last song ever, McCartney further noted: "Is it something we shouldn't do? Every time I thought, like that, I thought 'wait a minute. Let's say I had a chance to ask John. 'Hey John, would you like us to finish this last song of yours?' I'm telling you, I know the answer would have been 'yeah.' He would have loved that." (via Loudwire)

The Beatles 'Now And Then'

The original track contains demo vocals of John Lennon which he recorded before he passed away in December 1980. Since McCartney and drummer Ringo Starr wanted to release the song officially, they sought the help of artificial intelligence to isolate the vocals from the instruments.

The living musical legends were able to get permission from Lennon's family as his son, Sean Lennon, gives his approval, saying his dad would have approved of the project himself because "it's really beautiful."

McCartney said it was emotional when they heard John Lennon's enhanced voice as it was "crystal clear."
