During the begginning of his career, Post Malone was known for releasing music under the genre of hip-hop. However, it appears that he is switching genres as he confirmed a major project in the works in a recent livestream.

According to Cat Country, the "Sunflower" hitmaker took to his Twitch livestream to confirm that "Country record is coming" while he was playing a videogame.

"I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it's so f****** sick, but it's not out," he told his fans.

Elsewhere in the stream, he noted that he's working on two albums at the same time, but he didn't reveal whether both records will be under the country music genre.

"We made such sick music down in Nashville... It was so much, so much fun," he said.

Post Malone Collaborating With Morgan Wallen, Ernest?

The recent news comes weeks after Ernest took to his official Instagram account to share a photo of himself with Post Malone and Morgan Wallen in the recording studio.

Fans began to speculate that the trio might be working on new music, but neither one of them confirmed whether a new project will be released soon or not.

One of the main reasons why they got together was because of Post Malone's appearance and performance at the CMA Awards weeks ago.

Post Malone Loves Country Music

Post Malone has been experimenting with his music and trying out different genres, but he revealed in a previous interview with Howard Stern that he loves country music.

"To be honest, there's nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to put] on YouTube," he said.

He already had a success with country music as the song "Pickup Man" by Joe Diffied was perfmored by him at the CMA Awards with Wallen and Hardy.

Forbes reported that Postmalone was announced as one of the musicians who will perform at the Stagecoach in 2024. The music festival is known for being the Coachella of country music as it's being held in the same location.

It was reported that his set will be filled with country song covers including his latest cover.

As of this writing, Post Malone has yet to reveal the official release date of his country music album.
